New moons are always new beginnings. The container of the Cochlea Cocoon will be held and nourished by this idea allowing room for deep introspection and communion with ourselves, one another, and the natural world. COCHLEA invites the listener to go on a journey using sound and the inner landscape of memory and imagination.

BIO

Jenstar Hacker is a composer, sound designer, and re-recording mixer with the post-audio company that she runs: HACKER SOUND + MUSIC.  Based in Portland, OR, Jenstar works with local filmmakers as well as on projects from Los Angeles to New York and beyond.

The Cochlea Cocoon is an amalgamation of Jenstar’s past work for the last twenty years in ritual/music performance, interactive immersive art installation, location recording of nature sounds, and more.
